High Vis Street Art Festival, Digbeth, Birmingham 2021

street artist sprite with tiger mural

Had a fantastic time painting at High Vis Festival in Digbeth Birmingham.

This event became more important than any normal paint jam for me. Because, while I was up a ladder pinning up my design a male graffiti writer shouted sexist comments about the wall being too big for me, how I would need help and to be extra careful on the ladder.

After that I was determined to go bigger. Better. Produce something epic.

High Vis Festival is a fantastic event organised by Panda Brown, Juice Aleem and Olly MacNamee. Celebrating all things street culture, from street art to street food, graffiti to graphic novels, skateboarding to breakdancing. Featuring a huge range of artists including SNUB23, EPOD, N4T4 and fellow female street artist Cryola.

I had painted at this event before in 2019 assisting SNUB23 on a giant wall, which ended up being featured on “The Gadget Show”! So I was really excited to paint at this event independently with my tiger cub “Tiny Roar” design which I have been saving for the perfect spot. My god did Digbeth deliver! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to paint this cute little tiger cub mural.
