Kaoru Mitoma Mural for DOGMA Brighton

Designed and painted by SNUB23 and I, Inspired by the iconography of Japan’s Street Fighter video game, Kaoru Mitoma: Game Over! Mural was commissioned by Brighton and Hove Albion FC fan magazine Dogma. This mural comes as a loving tribute to the man with feet of god, incredible technique, and the deadliest KOs in the world of football.

A selectable character to Brighton and Hove Albion managers for more than four years, Kauro is much-loved in Japan but nobody adores him more than the people of Brighton and now we can collectively demonstrate that adoration with the mural we painted in central Brighton.

Painted in the chilly days of January ‘25 Kaoru Mitoma: Game Over! can be found on York Hill, Brighton. What3words: ///bounty.offers.settle.

Head down the steps next to New England House and look to your right (adjacent to There is a God of Football, our mural artwork from 2024).

Despite widely held opinion, the towns and cities of England are not awash with football murals. And of those that exist, very few projects are independently funded and delivered.

Kaoru Mitoma: Game Over! is Dogma’s fourth large-scale mural project covering the walls of Brighton with images of the people we worship. 100% funded by subscription and merch sales, commissioned by Dogma and delivered in partnership with local artists.

This is something Dogma are very proud of, and if you are a BHAFC supporter, you should be too.
